Pakistan Cricket Team is in India after 7 years for WC 2023 & warmly welcomed.

 


As you Pakistan cricket team land in India on the previous day . And they welcome warmly of  PCT at Airport and also at Hotel .

Only Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Ali Agha have visited India for cricket. Babar could not played the T20 World Cup in India in 2016 due to an injury.

The Pakistan cricket team arrived on Wednesday, its first visit to India in seven years, to compete in the ODI World Cup beginning on October 5. The Babar Azam-led side will spend a lot of time in Hyderabad, having arrived from Dubai where it had a long nine hour layover. The squad had left Lahore in the wee hours of Wednesday and reached Hyderabad in the night. Pakistan play their opening warm-up game against New Zealand on September 29 before taking on Australia on October 3. They open their tournament campaign against Netherlands here before battling with Sri Lanka on October 10. The Pakistan players had got their Indian visas less than 48 hours before their scheduled travel. Both India and Pakistan only face each other Asia Cup and ICC events due to the tense relations between the two countries.


Indian Welcome 

Pakistan says that there's nobody to support Pakistani team but as they land on airport the lovely people of India welcome with huge croud of people .

Babar Azam and some other players were seen waving at a few supporters and mediapersons. A few security personnel also took pictures with the players on their mobile phones. Star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi was seen chatting with a police officer.

Pakistan cricket's biggest fan, Chaudhry Abdul Jalil, popular as 'Chacha', was present at the airport to welcome the team.

This is the first time in seven years that the Pakistan cricket team is visiting India. The team had last played in India in 2016, in the T20 World Cup.


Babar Say's 

He then said, "I try to maintain unity; I make very few changes,” assuring that "There is no fight within the team; everyone's respect is the same and will remain the same".

"We love each other like a family," he added. 

The captain dismissed any notions of pressure related to playing cricket in India, emphasizing, "There is no pressure on us to play cricket in India". Instead, he articulated his commitment to improvement: "We will try to improve our performance by learning from mistakes".

Babar Azam pledged, "I will strive to give the best performance for the team against the best team." He underlined that players would be judged based on their recent performances. 

"The less pressure there is, the better the performance will be," he remarked.




Visa delays

As per their original schedule, Pakistan were to have a two-day camp in Dubai on Monday and Tuesday before flying to Hyderabad. However, the delay in procuring Indian visas forced the PCB to cancel their boot camp and reschedule their flights to Wednesday. And having waited till Monday evening, the PCB wrote to the ICC about the delay. And it is understood that around 8PM IST, the Indian High Commission granted the visas for the Pakistan team.

Pointing out to the delay in getting visas, the PCB said: “There has been an extraordinary delay in getting clearance and securing Indian visas for the Pakistan team for the ICC World Cup. We have written to the ICC raising our concerns about inequitable treatment towards Pakistan and reminding them of their obligations towards the World Cup.”
