A blast at a JUI-F workers convention in Bajaur killed 40 people and injured 150 more

 A bomb attack in Khar tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bajaur district on Sunday killed at least 40 people and injured more than 150, according to ARY News, citing Rescue 1122.


Deputy Commissioner (DC) revealed that 35 people died in a huge bomb attack near the NADRA office on Shanday Morr during a JUI-F workers convention.

He stated that about 150 injured people, including several in serious condition, were sent to a neighboring hospital.

KP Governor Ghulam Ali also verified the 30 deaths caused by the bomb blast.

Hafiz Hamdullah, central leader of the JUI-F, stated that he would also attend the workers convention but would not be able to attend the public event due to his busy schedule. Hafiz Hamdullah, while criticizing the bombing incident, stated that it is terrorism and anarchy.

JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed sadness over the bomb blast and requested that the prime minister and interim KP chief minister conduct a high-level investigation.

He prayed for the deceased souls' everlasting peace and the quick healing of the injured workers. He urged the JUI-F workers to remain calm and to rush to the hospital to donate blood to the injured.

He also requested that the federal and provincial governments provide the greatest medical care to the injured.
