Former PM Imran Khan were noticed , Bushra Bibi in the case of illegal marriage

A court in the federal capital's district and sessions court declared the lawsuit against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi's "illegal" marriage valid on Tuesday.

Civil Judge Qudratullah issued notices to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and his wife, summoning them on July 20, announcing the reserved verdict.

Last week, Islamabad's Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Muhammad Azam Khan remanded the case to a civil judge and invalidated another civil court's ruling declaring a petition contesting the legitimacy of the marriage inadmissible.

The Petitioner

Muhammad Hanif, the petitioner, stated that Bushra Bibi divorced her former husband in November 2017 and married Khan on January 1, 2018, despite the fact that her iddat period had not expired, "which is against Sharia and Muslim norms."

M.M Saeed The Performer

The complaint presented in court the statements of Mufti Muhammad Saeed, who officiated at Imran and Bushra's wedding, and Awn Chaudhry, Imran's close friend and one of the witnesses at the wedding.

Saeed, who performed the couple's Nikah, stated that despite knowing everything, the PTI head wedded Bushra Bibi during her iddat (the time a woman goes into isolation when her spouse dies or divorces her).

In a statement to a lower court, Saeed stated that he performed Khan's Nikah with Bushra Bibi on January 1, 2018, based on the guarantee of a woman claiming to be the former first lady's sister.

Feb 2018

"The former premier then contacted me again in February 2018 and requested that I solemnize his Nikah with Bushra Bibi again because the first time was against Shariah," Saeed testified in court.

He claimed that the first time the Nikah was performed, Bushra Bibi's Iddat had not ended.

KHAN Saying's

He described Khan as saying that Bushra Bibi had divorced in November 2017 and that there was a "prediction" that if he married Bushra Bibi, he would become Pakistan's prime minister.

Mufti Saeed went on to say that the first Nikah was prohibited since it was based on "prediction."

Marriage of Khan & Bushra Riaz

Khan married Bushra Riaz Watoo, commonly known as Bushra Bibi, a reputed faith healer, in February 2018, according to the PTI. The ceremony took place in Lahore.

Despite the absence of Khan's sisters, the bride's mother and friends attended the modest ceremony.

Saeed, who was a member of the PTI's core committee at the time, performed the Nikah in the presence of former PTI leaders Awn Chaudhary and Zulfi Bukhari.

Khan had two marriages before marrying the spiritual guide.

Marriage of 1995

In 1995, he married Jemima Goldsmith, the daughter of a British billionaire, but the marriage dissolved in 2004. Suleman and Qasim are his first wife's children. They both reside with their mum.

Marriage of Jan 2015

His second marriage, in January 2015, to Reham Khan, ended after only ten months.

The Prediction

He described Khan as saying that Bushra Bibi had divorced in November 2017 and that there was a "prediction" that if he married Bushra Bibi, he would become Pakistan's prime minister.

Geo TV Attuned

According to Geo TV, Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Islamabad Muhammad Azam Khan remanded the case to a civil judge last week and dismissed another civil court's ruling declaring the legitimacy of the marriage undesirable.

Also that: 'If the PTI is banned, we will build a new party and win elections':

In his declaration to a lower court, Imran Khan Saeed stated that he had solemnized Khan's nikah with Bushra Bibi on the assurance of a woman claiming to be the former first lady's sister.
