Here's how Pakistan may top the ICC One-Day International Rankings

The Men in Green face Afghanistan in a three-match series this month. If Pakistan defeats Afghanistan 3-0, it will become the world's top-ranked ODI side.

Even if Pakistan loses one match in the series, they will tumble to third position in the standings, trailing Australia.

From August 22 to 26, Afghanistan will host Pakistan in Sri Lanka. They will play the first two matches at Hambantota on August 22 and 24, before traveling to Colombo for the final ODI on August 26.

The Pakistan team will arrive in Sri Lanka on August 17 and practise there on August 19, 20, and 21.

Pakistan has won all four One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against Afghanistan. The two teams last met in the format at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019.
